It was a bright yellow door in a suspicious location. How could I not open it? The fact that it was unlocked should have told me everything I needed to know. Still, I was disappointed when I cracked it open only to find a backyard full of chickens. They eyed me curiously, then continued on with their pecking and scratching at the ground.
I sighed as I closed the door. Why was it never anything cool? Like seriously, what did I have to do to see an alien or be struck by lightning and given super speed or be inducted into a secret society or even just find a little old treasure map? I would even settle for a wardrobe to another dimension at this point.
Wardrobes having captured my attention, I didn’t notice when the yellow door exploded outward and the flock of evil cyborg chickens took to the sky. It was only later online that I heard what had happened and watched in fascination and jealousy as some good citizens took out the chickens and their crazed creator.
Why was it never me?
Thanks for reading! What fictional land would you like to visit? What one would you avoid at all costs? I think I would either visit Narnia or a galaxy far far away. There are sure to be plenty of adventures either way.
See you next Thursday with another story!
I hate it when cyborg chickens land in my backyard. 😉
Haha, too funny!
I would be perfectly fine with visiting anywhere but here: Middle-Earth, Hogwarts, Narnia, hell, even the Land of Oz! Take me away! 😄
